Daisy kept grilling plates of steak and collard greens that evening until Ned convinced her they had enough. Ned kept feeling embarrassed as he recollected his first woohoo. He had no details of that momentous life event, just that persistent feeling of embarrassment. But Daisy chatted away over their steak and didn’t seem to notice. She gushed over the hot tub as she’d never relaxed in one before. The weather was overcast but they didn’t notice. She’d never had the “woohoo talk” but it didn’t seem to matter.
The next morning, she took Ned a cup of tea. “This is the fanciest place I’ve ever stayed. It’s an amazing honeymoon!”
“Did you brew a whole pot ?” Ned asked. When Daisy nodded affirmative, he headed down to the kitchen and they enjoyed more of the delicious amber beverage. Feeling fortified, they went back upstairs to get ready. They were off to have their wedding picture taken.
“You know, Ned, even though we are best friends and have talked about almost everything, there’s one thing we never discussed. “What are your thoughts on starting a family now?”
