Willow Creek

A verdant, sprawling region of lush bayous and rolling plantation land, Willow Creek is a diverse blend of rich tradition, understated grandeur, and true salt-of-the-earth hospitality.

Maxis’ Travel Guides

Willow Creek is connected to other worlds by the Sim Rapid Transit System (SRTS) streetcars, ferry boats, and the grand Magnolia paddle wheel, which takes passengers to Magnolia Promenade. Transportation in SimNation

Foundry Cove’s Community Garden

Foundry Cove is located in southern Willow Creek. This neighborhood is known for its character and the canals that are a popular fishing spot. The active SNRR (Sim National Railroad) runs through the northwest side of the neighborhood, transporting goods. The Holiday family was instrumental in creating the community garden, which is a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. When in Foundry Cove, don’t miss seeing the Mysterious Tree, located off the footpath from the SRTS stop along the canal.

Courtyard Lane in Autumn Splendor

Courtyard Lane

Surrounded by water on three sides, these affordable homes for the upwardly mobile set of Courtyard Lane have classic styling and more expansive homes. The neighborhood park is a popular spot for grilling or relaxing, with a small playground, covered gazebo for outdoor movies and dance parties. The Pancakes family is the most notable of the residents. Bob owns the famous Bob’s House of Pancakes in Magnolia Promenade, which serves only pancakes, and Eliza is president of the Courtyard Lane Neighborhood Association. Thanks to the efforts of Ned Whalen, the neighborhood also has a community telescope and microscope. Fishersims can be seen casting along the banks of the Simomon River, which branches off of the Magnolia River that runs through Crawdad Quarter. You’re likely to see the neighborhood chickens roaming; they are friendly, so don’t hesitate to pet them or tell them a joke.

Pendula View

This historical section of Willow Creek, locally known as the Garden Community boasts large mansions and the cache that comes with living in them. The Goth family are often mistakenly living in the oldest manor, but this was due to an error in one of the printings of Maxis’ Guide Book to Willow Creek. The home actually belongs to the Guidry family, but has stood empty for years. With the Magnolia River meandering on one side, gentle hills on the other side, and a trolley running down the bricked street, this neighborhood appears peaceful. A large pond attracts locals and visitors alike, and you may see yoga or meditation classes on the grassy lawn. The manicured community garden is a pleasant spot for a picnic, and seasonal stalls pop up throughout the year at the small playground.

The most notable family in Pendula View is the Pleasant Family, and they live in the large home next to the playground. Access to this neighborhood is easy ride on the trolley from any of the other neighborhoods or a transfer from any of Willow Creek SRTS stops.

Sage Estates

According to Maxis’ Travel Guide, “Willow Creek’s most desirable area, Sage Estates features large, sprawling estates, lush landscaping, and the best high society as to offer.” A walking path curves along the gentle slopes and behind two estates of note: The Zhao family and the Spencer-Kim-Lewis-Jamison family. The Zhao’s live in a traditional, southern-style three story home surrounded by water on three sides with natural landscaping. On the other hand, the Spencer-Kim-Lewis-Jamison family live in a modern mansion at the top of the hill. The neighborhood is known for several good fishing spots along the river and pleasant walking trails. Keep an eye out for the sailboats on the water, and if you know a member, visit the private yacht club on the far bank. Rumors say they serve the freshest catch and the finest Simsmapolitan, but it is so exclusive nobody can confirm ever visiting the club.

Magnolia Blossom Park

One of the oldest parks in all of Willow Creek, this large park is home to the Willow Creek Arboretum, a place to spend a rainy afternoon or hold your wedding. The park also has a small camping area near the fishing pond, along with plenty of recreational activities for Sims of all ages and interests. Seasonal skating rinks and food stalls are popular attractions as is Sim Sessions, a summer music festival.

The River forks into two branches: The Simnoman and The Magnolia River.

Crawdad Quarter

Crawdad Quarter is the heart of Willow Creek, and is where you’ll find the Willow Creek Library, which boasts a children’s wing, a family-friendly gym, the newly renovated museum and events center, and, possibly the most famous, The Blue Velvet Nightclub, renown for performances of WooWho! Excellent fishing and picnicking spots along with walking trails attract outdoor enthusiasts, while the nightclub keeps night owls happy. You may see the paddlewheel chugging along the river as it heads towards Magnolia Promenade.

Civic Center

Willow Creek Hospital and SimNation’s Police Headquarters are both located in the plaza at the Civic Center.
